Iwase Yōichi's Ten Forms of Moxibustion for Women responds in a lighter, caricatural mode, connecting folk medicine, heat, exposure, and controlled pain. Numa Shōzō's From the Notebook of a Certain Masochist then returns to sustained reflection, combining historical anecdotes, foreign examples, religious imagery, punishment traditions, and psychological commentary. Furukawa Yūko's Solitude is a long psychological confession involving isolation, illness, institutional treatment, bodily examination, and emotional alienation. Its clinical imagery and slower development give this portion of the issue a darker and more introspective tone. Mori Taichi's Kelp and the Boy traces an unusual fixation to childhood and adolescent memories involving bathing, clothing, shame, tactile experience, and private imagination. Futamata Shizuko's The Devil's Game then begins a threatening narrative involving secrecy, domination, restraint, and danger; it continues well beyond the point at which the first 150 scanned pages end.

The second half of the issue includes additional illustrated fiction, prize-related writing, reflections on punishment imagery, historical or folkloric material, and critical discussion of modern masochistic art. These pieces make explicit the magazine's view that punitive and erotic images may be studied aesthetically as well as consumed as fantasy. A long later narrative centered on a milk-bath feast develops ritual, bodily service, spectacle, and unequal power across an extended fictional environment.
