Kitan Club, January 1953 New Year Issue

This January 1953 issue of Kitan Club combines erotic fiction, first-person confessional narratives, historical and quasi-ethnographic writing, sexual humor, reader discussion, bondage photography, and illustrated essays. Its contents move between contemporary domestic scenarios, historical accounts of sexuality and punishment, discussions of sadomasochistic impulses, male homosexuality, chastity devices, prostitution, fetishism, and criminal obsession. The issue also includes a substantial reader roundtable on the psychology of inflicting pain, a selection of erotic folk songs, translated or adapted foreign material, and numerous drawings and photographs.
